Obituary of Stanley "STAN" Ellis Mullins
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held, 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 26th at the Kozy Korner Restaurant; at 371 Columbia Blvd Saint Helens, 503-397-9754. Stan passed away June 17th at a local Portland hospital. He was 48 years old.
Stan was born, November 30, 1961 in Mena, Arkansas to Troy F. and Viva June Ellis Mullins. When he was 6 years old the family moved to St. Helens, Oregon. He loved sports and in 1978 he took 5th place in the State for St. Helens High School in Cross country track meet. After high school he joined the Army and then after his discharge he served an additional 10 years with the Army National Guard. It was with the National Guard that Stan served as security for the Olympics' in Korea. When Stan came back home he went to work at several locations in town; Geo Services installing gas lines, Boise Cascades in Security and at Steinfeld's. He was a past member of the St. Helens Moose Lodge. Stan loved golfing, darts, pool and horseshoes.
Stan is survived by his wife; Roberta "Bobby" Mullins, mother; June Mullins, stepchildren; Mandy Keyzers, Angela Sisk, Travis Sisk, Kristy Davis and Crystal Burton, siblings; Jana Brecht, Randy Mullins and Kandus Flores.
