Stanley J. Phillips' Obituary
Stanley J. Phillips was born on April 18, 1932 in Tekamah, NE. to Charles & Clara DavidsonPhillips.
He died in a St. Helens care facility on March 26, 2004 at the age of 71.
He joined the US Navy in 1952 for 9 years.
On April 26, 1958 he married JoAnn Carlson, they later divorced.
He lived in Sandpoint, ID. and after the Navy settled in Astoria. He moved to St. Helens to be close to his daughter in December of 2003.
Early on his church denomination was Presbyterian.
He was a member of the Eagles and American Legion. His interests included crossword puzzles, reading and drawing portraits.
Survived by Daughters: Debra Stidham of Astoria, OR.;Dawn Bob Hunt of St. Helens; 3 sisters: Betty Stancil of St. Maries, ID; Bernice Montague, Mary White, both of Coeur d' Alene, ID.;
6 grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; preceded in death by son: Steven Phillips in a 1996 boating accident and a brother Charles in 1951.
