When I first found out you had cancer, I was shocked, I was confused, how could such a strong man get so badly sick so fast I thought. You were a fighter, you were all of your families hero, and protector. When you had to go to the hospital my mom and I came up to see you, you asked me where my boyfriend was and I told you we had broken up. I will always remember what you said back to me. “Well are you looking?” i told him I wasn’t yet. He looked me right in the eyes and told me not to give up, he told me to go out there and find a boy who will love me, and treat me like I should be treated. Well grandpa, i didn’t go looking but I did find love. I wanted so badly to tell you this when I saw you last but all I could do was sit in silence and hold your hand and tell you that everything was going to be okay, because it was. Your no longer in pain, and you are still surrounded by your family. We all know your watching and protecting us from up there. You are my hero, and I love you so much.

I love you Dad...today...tomorrow and forever! I miss you so much! XOXO
