Steven Walter Blanchard's Obituary
Steven Walter Blanchard, 39 of St. Helens passed away on November 10, 2018. He was born on June 17, 1979 in Portland, Oregon to Steve and Cheryl Blanchard and lived in St. Helens and Columbia City his whole life. He graduated from St. Helens High School in 1997. He was a volunteer firefighter with St. Helens Rural Fire District for 15 years. He most recently worked at Kapstone in Longview, Washington. Steve enjoyed traveling, woodworking, hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of St. Helens Elk’s Lodge.
He leaves the love of his life, Jennifer Reed Blanchard of 21 years. They had no children but leaves behind his best furry friends, Stewart and Charlie. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer of St. Helens, mother Cheryl Thorn of Lebanon, step mother, Denise Blanchard of Albuquerque, NM, sisters Stacey of Lebanon, Shauna (Casey) of Albuquerque, NM, in-laws Mark and Debbie Reed of Scappoose, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Blanchard, Sr. and grandparents, Keith and Edith Blanchard.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 am at Warren Community Fellowship with a reception to follow immediately after. Private graveside service will be at Finley Sunset Hills Memorial Park. Condolences may be sent to the family at PO Box 243, Scappoose, Oregon.
