Steven Daniel Cade's Obituary
Steven passed away peacefully on November 7, 2021 after a long battle against dementia, with his wife and daughters by his side. Steve was born on March 27, 1957, in St. Helens to David and Phyllis (Sapp) Cade. He attended McBride Elementary, St. Helens Junior High and graduated from St. Helens High School in 1975. He enjoyed volunteer work. He and Debra ran the concessions stand at the high school for the St. Helens Booster Club for 10 years. During his retirement years, he volunteered at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office where he was twice voted Volunteer of the Year. He also volunteered in Jean Miller’s Kindergarten Classroom where he was featured on KATU’s Everyday Heroes in 2017.
He was a great man and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debra; his three daughters, Karee (Scott) Steinhauser, Kimberlee (Toby) Carlson, and Kellee (Gerald) Gallagher; his mom, Phyllis; his sister, Sue (Mick) Stratton; brother, Craig (Monica) Cade.
