Sybil L. Erwin's Obituary
Sybil was born on December 28, 1928 in Jonesboro, Louisiana to Edwin and Mary Calhoun Ayers. Sybil died peacefully at her son's home in Deer Island on Sunday, January 28, 2007.
She moved to Northbend, Oregon in approximately 1950 and then to Coos Bay in 1955 where she married her husband, George Erwin. They enjoyed 41 years of marriage before he died in 1996.
Sybil and Edwin moved to the Columbia County area in 1960 and raised their only child, Terry William Erwin.
Always a hard worker, Sybil had many jobs; her last was Manager of Rose Manor Mobile Home Park. Besides working, her favorite hobbies were gardening, fishing, cooking, and camping.
Sybil is survived by her son, Terry Erwin and daughter-in-law, Susan of Deer Island, Oregon; sisters: Betty Scheps and Ann Finelt both from Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Amy Scheurmann; grandson, Erik Tolleshaug; step grandson, Logan Brown and 3 great grandchildren: Tyler and Makayla Tolleshaug and Alyssa Scheurmann.
A private burial was held at Columbia Memorial Gardens.
