Taija Lyn Belwood's Obituary
Taija Lyn Belwood was born on January 25, 1990 in Portland, Oregon to Butch & Tamara Gayken Belwood.
She died in a automobile accident on December 31, 2007 at the age of 17.
Taija lived and attended schools in the Hillsboro area until moving to Scappoose in 2003. She was a Senior at Scappoose High School. She was on the National Honor Society and sang in the chamber choir for three years.
She had been accepted at Southern Oregon College. Her goal was to become a teacher and go to Africa to help the children there.
She is survived by her parents: Mother: Tammy Belwood Jimmy; Father: Butch Belwood Kathy; Siblings: Tanner Balogh; Nick Brown; Josh Purdue; Erica Belwood; Grandparents: Pat Gayken; Wallace "Pat" & Linda Melton; Ernie & Diane Belwood; Great-grandmothers: Neta Decker; Myrna Payne; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service: Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Scappoose High School Cafeteria
Committal service & vault interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery-Scappoose.
