Thelma G. Register's Obituary
Thelma G. Register was born on September 16, 1918 in Glasgow, Montana to Herman & Lydia Meyers Nickels.
She died at Avamere Assisted Living Center in St. Helens on August 3, 2011 at the age of 92.
Thelma lived in Montana where she met and married Cecil Register. They lived there for a time and then moved to Hawthorne, CA. He preceded her in death in 1955. After his death she went to nursing school and worked in the hospital in Hawthorne until she retired in 1987. She moved to this area at that time.
She was a Christian and member of Warren Baptist Church where she was active with the relief time chapel. Her interests included gardening, loved plants, animals of all types, knitting, crocheting and canning. She wrote lots of letters using colored pens and had stacks of reply letters.
Survivors include: Son: Raymond Register of Lucerne Valley, CA.; 3 siblings: Vera, Doris, Sweed & Jack Nickels all of Montana; numerous grandchildren.
Memorial service: Avamere Assisted Living Center: Sat. August 13, 2011 at 3:00 PM.
