Theresa Wenda Kelsch's Obituary
Theresa Kelsch was born on September 11, 1922 in Strasburg, N. Dakota to Joseph & Agatha Schnieder Wenda.
She died at her daughters home in Columbia City, Oregon on September 13, 2007 at the age of 85.
Theresa was the wife of Simon Sam Kelsch of Linton. He died in 1958. She was 35 at the time and raised her four young children by herself.
She resided in Linton, N. Dakota until about 1979 when she moved to an apartment in Bismarck, N. Dakota. In 2002 she moved to the west coast to reside near her family. Most recently she lived four years at Courtyard Assisted Living in Portland, Oregon.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, playing cards with her good friends, and listening to music, particularly the Lawrence Welk Band which was from the area she grew up.
Survivors include: Children: LeRoy S. Kelsch of Kennewick, WA.; Timothy Kelsch of Fostoria, IA.; Bonnie L. Kelsch of Columbia City, OR.; Valerie Staley of Tucson, AZ.; Siblings: Dorothy Fuhrer of Strasburg, N. Dakota; Rosie Statema of Jamestown, N. Dakota; Lintina Bonamico of Las Vegas, NV.; Pauline Meyer of Torrance, CA.; Joe Wenda of Lodi, CA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Shawn, Shane, Scott, Steve, Linda, Joshua, Ryan and Kevin.
Viewing & Visitation: Tuesday evening at Myers Funeral Home; Linton, N. Dakota.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Wednesday September 19, 2007 at 10:30 AM; Linton, N. Dakota.
Committal service & interment to follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery; Linton, N. Dakota.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Courtyard Assisted Living.
Memorial contributions may be made to any local hospice
