Tim - Lungberg's Obituary
Tim Lungberg was born on November 18, 1926 in Sturgis, S. Dakota to Carl M. Lungberg, Sr. & Lida Sheldon Lungberg.
He died at his home in Warren on October 21, 2008 at the age of 81.
Tim and his family moved to Oregon from S. Dakota in 1942 and finished his schooling here. He lived in the area for over 60 years, over 50 of those years at his home in Warren.
He served in the Navy during WWII. On December 2, 1949 he married Ada Hughes in Vancouver, WA., she preceded him in death in 2006.
Tim worked for the Kaiser Gypsum Mill for about thirty years. After working eight years he retired with Columbia County Road Department.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where early on he was the church recorder in the records office.
Tim enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sports and was a constant presence at local Little League baseball games. He also enjoyed watching sports and bull riding competitions. He will be missed at the end counter seat from his daily trips to the Kozy Korner.
Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law: Kelley & Melissa Lungberg; Grandsons: Adam & Travis Lungberg; Granddaughter: Amber Lungberg; Siblings: Bess Riggs, Donna Goodwin, Violet Hoyt, Robert Buzz Lungberg.
Graveside service & vault interment: Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Bethany Memorial Cemetery-Warren, OR.
