Timothy L. Danchok's Obituary
Timothy Leslie Danchok of St. Helens, Oregon passed away on July 31, 2018 at the age of 69. He was born June 17, 1949 to Steve and Elizabeth Danchok in Longview, WA. Tim joined older brother Steve and older sister Nancy to make their family complete.
Tim attended Rainier High School and graduated with the class of 1967. During his time at RHS he excelled in football and basketball. This led to a football scholarship to Linfield College. Sadly, Tim was injured in the East-West Shrine game and was unable to play for Linfield. He did attend college there for 2 years.
On September 16, 1976 he married Linda (Calhoun) in a sweet little ceremony in Reno, NV and they would have celebrated their 42nd anniversary this year. In 1979 their only child Malyssa (Legg) was born. Tim and his daughter had a special bond that will forever go on.
Tim began working for PGE in 1981 and retired as a Construction Foreman in 2013. He enjoyed his work and the friends he made during his years there. He was a proud member of IBEW.
Tim was a member of the local Elks and Moose Lodges. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking wonderful meals, playing with his beloved dog Bo, woodworking, hunting, doing crossword puzzles, and especially rooting for his Oregon Ducks.
Tim will be lovingly remembered by all of his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held September 22, 2018 at 11 AM at the St. Helens Elks. The family requests that you wear green and yellow to celebrate Tim’s love of Oregon Ducks football.
Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Tim to the Casey Eye Institute.
