Tracie Lynn Schillo's Obituary
Tracie Lynn Schillo of Rainier, Oregon passed away on February 3, 2019 at the age of 52. She was born March 27, 1966 in Portland, Oregon. Tracie attended school in Boardman, Oregon and graduated with the class of 1984. After graduating high school Tracie worked at Camera World in Portland and later moved to Seattle where she ran two small businesses. She joined the United States Air Force at age 34 and received her basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. She was later stationed at Camp Rilea in Warrenton, Oregon where she served in the Air National Guard in Satellite Communications for 10 years.
In 2012 Tracie left Astoria and moved to Rainier, Oregon. She attended Lower Columbia Community College in Longview, Washington where she graduated with honors and received her associate degree in the medical field. She then took a job at the VA Hospital in Portland working as a Medical Service Assistant. Tracie loved spending time with her family, enjoyed rock climbing, camping, horseback riding and just being outdoors.
She is survived by her parents Mike and Marge Burg, her sisters Patty (Jason) Kuehl and Suzee (Patrick) Bernhard, her four nephews whom she loved dearly and her aunt Patty Barry. She was preceded in death by her brother Steve.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Rainier Assembly of God in Rainier, Oregon. In lieu of flowers donations in her name can be made to either Paralyzed Veterans of America and/or Wounded Warrior Project.
