Valerie Jane O?Connor was born on November 22, 1921 in St. Helens, Oregon to James S. & Elsie Jane Corkill O?Connor.
She died at her home in Columbia City on November 13, 2007 at the age of 85.
She was educated at John Gumm Elementary School, St. Helens High School, Western Oregon University B.S. in Elementary Education, University of Oregon M. Of Secondary Education, Portland State University, Washington State, University of Washington, Southern Oregon University.
She was employed with the Portland School District from 1943-1945, St. Helens School District from 1945-1985.
She served on the Columbia City City Council and her enjoyments included Journalism, books, teaching and animals.
Survivors include: Brother: James R. O?Connor of St. Helens; Niece: Kari Woyak Andrew of Beaverton; Nephew: James S. O?Connor of Miami, FL.; Close Friends: Debra Frappier of Scappoose; Kathy Thomas of Columbia City; Betty Kolstrand of Warren.
