Valerie L. Ames' Obituary
Valerie L. Ames was born on January 1, 1954 in Portland, Oregon to Edgar E. & Geraldine E. DeVeiteo Barber.
She died at her home in Scappoose on March 1, 2010 at the age of 56.
Valerie attended and graduated from Franklin High School in 1972. She lived in Scappoose for 40 years and was married to Dwain Ames in Vancouver, WA. on June 6, 1998.
Early on she worked as a housekeeper for a nursing home. She enjoyed going to the beach, riding ATV's and sandrails and mostly helping everyone else.
Survivors include: Husband: Dwain Ames of Scappoose; Children: Jason Londo of Eugene; James Barber of Scappoose; Shontel of California; Brother: Skip Barber of Umatilla, OR.; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: Saturday, 3/6/2010 all day at the family home 54124 Sam Blehm Rd.-Scappoose, OR.
