Valerie Josephine Phyllis Taylor Moorhead's Obituary
Valerie Josephine Phyllis Taylor Moorhead passed away on January 4, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was surrounded by family and friends at the time of her passing.
She is survived by her loving husband Benjamin Moorhead and her two children Margaret and Richard Moorhead, her grandchildren Elizabeth, Thomas and Hannah Moorhead. As well as her older brother Martin Taylor.
Val was born in Finsbury, London England in 1936. During World War II, the family relocated to Northamptonshire where she grew up.
In 1960, she met Ben an Airforce Serviceman in a pub. They married that yea. Their two children came along and after numerous postings via the Airforce, they finally settled in St. Helens in 1977.
Val enjoyed many activities. Working in her garden, painting refinishing furniture pieces, decorating the house for the holidays, playing cards and dice, have Bar-B-Que’s with family and friends, and bowling in the local bowling league.
A quiet woman, she enjoyed spending time with her family and loved nothing better than settling down to watch a BBC production with a glass of wine or a cup of tea.
