Vera C. Wardle's Obituary
Vera C. Wardle was born on July 6, 1923 in Mason, Iowa to Hollis & Mary Strain Wainwright.
She died at a Portland hospital on October 24, 2006 at the age of 83.
She was educated in Iowa. She married Glenn Orr in 1939, they divorced and she married Joseph Wardle in 1960, he preceded her in death in 1989.
She moved to St. Helens in 1952 until present. She was a cook at Sparkys restuarant in Scappoose, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of the Moose Lodge and she enjoyed sports, specifically, the Portland Trailblazers and the Nascar races.
Survivors include: Children: Jerry Orr, of St. Helens; Kenneth Orr of Gresham; Bill Orr of Big Cabin, OK. Annetta Heyer & Janet Esler-Rowe both of Milwaukie, OR.; 6 of 13 siblings still living. 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; son Ralph-preceded in death at age 2 1/2.

Private interment: Bethany Memorial Cemetery-Warren.
