Victoria H White's Obituary
Victoria H. White passed away at her home in Scappoose, Oregon on April 18, 2007. She was dearly beloved by her family and friends and will be enthroned in their thoughts forever.
Vicki was born May 2, 1917, in Mullan, Idaho to Beatrice Rowe and Victor Hansen. Her father died when she was 7 years old; her mother later married Tommy Rogers and Vicki took his surname. She attended schools in Mullan and attended college in Dillion, Montana.
On December 10, 1943, she married Ronald M. White of Great Falls, Montana.
Vicki was employed by Shoshone County, Idaho at various time beginning in 1941. Originally appointed to office of Clerk of the District Court/County Auditor, she served in that capacity from 1968 until her retirement in 1981. She served as President of the Idaho State Association of County Recorders and Clerks from 1978 to 1979.
A devoted student of Christian Science, she was a member of the Mother Church, and the Christian Society in Wallace, Idaho and later in Lewiston, Idaho. Vicki and Ronald moved to Lenore, Idaho upon retirement. In October 2003, they moved to Scappoose, Oregon where they lived with their daughter and son-in-law.
Vicki's was happiest when she was with her family; she also enjoyed crocheting, but particularly loved to cook. Her culinary skills were greatly appreciated. She will be remembered most for her honesty, integrity, and kindness to all. To those who knew her best, her unwavering devotion, love, compasssion, and ethics will be included in that legacy.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Beatrice Marconi. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; 2 children, Tom K Gay White of Alpine, Arizona; Shelly Art Blickenstaff of Scappoose, Oregon; 4 natural grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 5 adopted grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
At her request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Vicki's memory to Legacy Hospice Services - Portland, PO BOx 4484 Portland, OR 97208
