Vincent Engen's Obituary
Vincent "Dale" Engen was born on August 23, 1932 in Blaisdell, N. Dakota to Arthur & Marguerite May Ida Jackson Engen.
He died at a Longview, WA. hospice care center on October 1, 2009 at the age of 77.
Dale was educated in Spokane, WA. and Post Falls, Idaho; married in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho to Gail Carpenter on May 30, 1956. They moved from Pinehurst, Idaho to Scappoose in 1967 and to Warren in 1971 until present.
He was a pipefitter for the local #290 for 35 years, retiring in 1992.
Dale was a member of the St. Frederic Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer that was able to conquer two hole in one's.
Survivors include: Wife: Gail Engen of Warren; 2 sons: Kenneth Engen of St. Helens; Kerry Engen of Rainier; Brother: Arthur R. Engen, Jr. of Clatskanie; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews.
Recitation of the Rosary: Friday, October 2, 2009 at 5:30 PM at Columbia Funeral Home-St. Helens
