Viola Marie Tetz's Obituary
Viola was the oldest of 6 children. Viola came here to Scappoose in 1934 from South Dakota with her family to find viable work when the locust ruined all the crops.
She married her soul mate, Otto Tetz, in 1947 in Scappoose.
She worked hard all of her life, building ships on Swan Island during he war, the box factory, she ran a team of horses and helped with Otto's Logging business, cooked at Long Fellows and Wayside, owned her own Drive-In Restaurant, called Vi's Drive-In. She was known as one of the best cook there ever was in Scappoose.
Survivors include, her children, Alfred Duane Tetz and Gary Curtis Tetz; 9 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto on March 10, 2005 and her daughter, Janice Marie Morilon and her son, John Tyrie Gilliam 111.
