Virginia V. Uhlig was born on July 10, 1925 in Hillsboro, Oregon to Joseph & Bertha LoveAllen.
She died at her home in St. Helens, Oregon on February 27, 2007 at the age of 81.
She moved to St. Helens as a youngster and attended schools here.
She married Alvin Bassine on 5/6/67 in Vancouver, WA., he preceded her in death on 12/8/00. She married Robert Uhlig on 9/25/03.
She lived in St. Helens for most of her life and 7 years in Reno. They were motel/hotel managers and later apartment managers. She was the head hostess for the Best Western in St. Helens.
Her enjoyments included gardening, cooking. She served the public volunteering and no one was a stranger to her.
Survivors include: Husband: Robert Uhlig of St. Helens; Son & Daughter-in-law: Kenneth & Doreen Shadley of Scappoose; Brother & sister-in-law: Gregory & Diane Allen of St. Helens; 4 grandchildren: Cody & spouseJamie, Kerby, Kara & Conor Shadley; Niece: Kristy Reynolds; Nephew: Ryan Allen.
Memorial service: Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Grace & Peace Fellowship Church-Scappoose.
