Wallace E. Lambert's Obituary
Wallace "Wally" E. Lambert was born on May 13, 1923 in Index, WA. to Charley & Gertrude Shimanek Lambert.
He died in a St. Helens care center on July 27, 2006 at the age of 83.
He moved from Washington to Scappoose where he received his schooling, graduating from Scappoose Hi in 1941.
He moved to St. Helens after serving in WWII. In 1947 he married Bethella W. Sherman, she preceded him in death on 7/13/04.
They lived here all of thier lives.
He worked at Boise Cascade from 1950-1973, retiring as a purchasing agent.
He was active in the Masonic Lodge and served as the Grand master in 1956. He was also involved with the Shriners, Lions and Elks Lodge. He recently received an award from the Lions Club International Melvin Jones Fellow for dedicated humanitarian services.
His interests included hunting with the same group of men and his coin & stamp collection.
Survivors include: Sons: Linsay Lambert of St. Helens; Kevin Lambert of Portland, OR.; Siblings: Patricia Cook of Scappoose; Wanda Cook of Vancouver, WA.; 2 grandchildren: Celeste & Blake Lambert both of St. Helens.
Viewing & Visitation: 9-5 Wed.
Funeral Service: Thursday, 8/3/06 at 1:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home
Committal service & vault interment: Masonic Cemetery-St. Helens, OR.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Lodge or to the Lions Club.
