Walter E. Britton was born on April 24, 1926 in St. Helens, Oregon. He passed away on November 6, 2013 in St. Helens. He lived in St. Helens all of his life and passed away in the home where he grew up.
Walter married Stella Mae “Shorty” Stegall in St. Helens, she preceded him in death on July 29, 1994.
He was in the Coast Guard from April 10, 1944 until August 15, 1945. He was a radioman in the Merchant Marines. His enjoyment was ham radio operating.
Survivors include his nephew: Bill Oswald of St. Helens.
Graveside service & interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM.
