Walter F. Hackney's Obituary
Walter F. Hackney was born on December 31, 1948 in Vancouver, WA. to Howard & Ruby Ensworth Hackney.
He died at St. John's Medical Center in Longview on November 22, 2004 at the age of 55.
He was raised in Scappoose, lived most of his life in the area, the last 6 years in Columbia City, OR.
He was in the Vietnam war in the Army and later was he was a truck driver, also enjoyed motorcycles, and animals.
Survived by his Mother: Ruby Kaer of Portland; Sister & brother-in-law: Robbie & Stephen Hanson of St. Helens, OR.; Brothers & sister-in-law: Mark & Susan Hackney of Seattle, WA.; Richard Hackney of Dallas, TX.; Nieces & nephews: Kurtis, Lisa, Kaleb, & Colby Hanson; Sophie, Alana, & Nyall Hackney. Preceded in death by father, a brother & sister.
Memorial service: Monday, November 29, 2004 at 1:00 PM at Willamette National Cemetery-Portland.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veterans Association.

Walter ''Franklin'' Hackney-sometimes known as ''Frank'' or ''Mr. Hackney'' to is sister.
He was proud to serve his country in Vietnam as a member of the 1st Air Cav. He was a life-long resident in Oregon. He was half owner of Triple H Trucking in St. Helens and drove truck most of his life. He was a commercial diver and loved the ocean, kids, pets and being right
Frank will be missed by his friends and neighbors.
When you were winning the discussion Frank used to always tell you I'M not going to be around here much longer and you'll be sorry when I'm gone! He was right again! He gone and were sorry and he will be missed.
He as passionate about his country and his time in the Vietnam war. He believed strongly in the Vietnam Veterans Association-therefore the family requests that donations in lieu of flowers be donated to them.
