WALTER STEVEN ZSARKO

Walter Steven Zsarko died on October 10, 2008 at his home in St. Helens. He was 71.
Walt was born on Jan. 8, 1937 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was raised in Hammond, Oregon until he entered the Navy in 1954. He married Rita Moriarty in New York in 1957. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1959 and served for 23 years. After retiring to Seaside, Oregon he worked for Lockheed Aircraft in Saudi Araabia for a number of years, then in Ontario, CA and finally at the Skunk Works in Palmdale, CA.
After retiring form Lockheed he moved to Lewiston, CA. He moved to St. Helens in 2004.
Walt was active in the Elks and VFW. He was a member of the Power Squadron.
Walt is survived by his wife, Rita Zsarko, his children, Steven, Michael, Robert and Deborah, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A military graveside service will be held at Ft. Stevens Cemetery Friday, October 17 at 2:00 PM.
