Walter Wayne Barger's Obituary
Private family gathering will be held at a later date. Walt Barger passed away March 20th at a local Portland hospital. He was 68 years old.
Walter Wayne Barger was born December 21, 1942 at St. Helens, Oregon to George C. and Sarah Rosalie Haney Barger. He was the oldest of 7 children. Attended St. Helens High School. Walt served in the US Navy from 1963 until 1965. He married Carolyn Kay Unger in Portland, April 17th, 1964. They moved to Portland in 1968 for work. Walt worked in fencing for over 35 years as a foreman and gate maker.
Walt is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn, children; Rick W. Barger of Portland, Shelley Larsen of Portland, 3 grandchildren; Shawn Barger, Chasity Boyce and Codie Larsen, step great grandson, Justin Boyce, Brothers; Roy Barger of Scappoose, Jess Barger of Portland, Laurel Barger of Banks, Oregon, sisters; Julia Bosley of Edmonds, Washington and Georgia Chavis of Astoria.
