Wesley Naish's Obituary
Wes left this world March 5, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 20, 1934 to Launcelot and Helen Naish in Glendale, CA. They later moved to Oregon where he grew up in Cottage Grove. He graduated from University of Oregon where he got his Bachelors and Masters in Music. He did basic training in the Army and served in the National Guard. He met Marilyn and they married on March 13, 1960. They moved to St Helens where they lived and raised their family. Together they had 4 children, Ruth, Brad, Doug, and Nancy. They attended First Lutheran Church where Wes directed the church choir for many years. Wes was active in 4-H archery, fishing, hunting and taught band grades 5-12 and was the music coordinator for the school district. After retirement, he and Marilyn enjoyed traveling and visiting friends and relatives.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 18th @ 1p.m. at First Lutheran Church. The family will have a private graveside burial at a later date.
Wes is survived by his children: Ruth (Ty), Brad (Brenda), Doug, and Nancy, 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and one sister, and was preceded in death by Marilyn, his parents, and 2 brothers.
