Willard L. Crippen was born on December 19, 1928 in Camas, WA. to Jerry & Fern Barker Crippen.
He died at his home in Warren on April 23, 2006 at the age of 77.
He moved to St. Helens at age 8 and was educated here, living here all of his life.
His first marriage was to Billie, they divorced, he married Lucille, she preceded him in death in 1989. He married Carolyn in Longview, WA. on June 25, 1990.
He was a longshoreman for 39 years with union local #92 working as a walking boss when he retired in 1989.
His enjoyments included fishing.
Survivors include: Wife Carolyn Crippen of Warren; Larry Crippen of Portland; Kerry Crippen of Palm Springs, CA.; Jeffrey Crippen of St. Helens; Stepchildren; Teresa Nunnelee of Alabaster, Alabama; Sam Brock of St. Helens; Laurie Hallaian of Lynnwood, WA.; Patty Luttrell of Elsie, OR; Brenda Freeman of Portland; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
