William A. Bever's Obituary
William A. Bever was born on June 25, 1928 in Bluff City, Arkansas to Clyde & Grace Henry Bever.
He died at his home in St. Helens on May 2, 2012 at the age of 83.
He was educated in Camden, Arkansas and married Alta in Arkansas on July 3, 1947, she preceded him in death August 30th, 2004.
He remarried on September 10th, 2006 to Constance
"Connie" Hopper.
He worked at International Paper Company for 39 years, starting in Arkansas and transferred to a plant in Reedsport, OR. In 1964, retiring in 1985. They moved to St. Helens in 1991 to be closer to family until present.
They were members of the Church of Christ in Scappoose. Special interest included helping others.
Survivors include: wife Connie Bever, Children: Glenn Bever of Fresno, CA.; Ralph Bever of Vancouver, WA.; Tess Ogle of St. Helens; Siblings:Ferrell Bever of Camden, AR. ; Clyde Bever of South Bend, Indiana; Katherine Bever of Camden, AR.; 8 Grandchildren, 1Great-Grandchild.
Celebration Of Life, Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home-St. Helens
Military Honors and Interment: Willamette National Cemetery-Portland, OR. At 1:00 PM Thursday.
Memorial Contributions maybe made to the Vancouver Church of Christ Club Quest Mexico Mission Fund.
