William Thomas Oliver's Obituary
William Thomas Oliver "Chief" was born on May 19, 1958 in Hardin Co., Tennessee to Sam & Betty Devins Oliver.
He died at his home in Scappoose on August 16, 2008 at the age of 50.
He was educated in Hagerstown, Maryland, living there a good portion of his life and working as a taxicab driver. He also lived in Tennessee until moving to Longview in 1997 and to Scappoose for the past 2 years.
He was a member of the Blackfoot & Apache Indian Tribes, baptised in the Catholic Church and was in the Marines and the National Guard.
His interests included: artistry, painting pictures and working on cars.
Survivors include: Mother: Betty Mott of Longview, WA.; Father: Sam Oliver of South Tunnel, TN.; Son: Mark Allen Oliver of Kettering, MD.; Siblings: Samuel Oliver of Beaverton, OR.; John Campous; Virginia Capp; both of Four Oaks, N. Carolina; John W. Fritz of Hayward, CA.; Fawn Maria Walton of Parson, TN.; Close friend Pamela Howell of Rainier, OR.; 8 aunts & uncles.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Columbia Funeral Home-St. Helens, OR.
Committal service & vault interment: Woodbine Cemetery-Rainier, OR.
