Zelma V. Horton's Obituary
Zelma V. Horton was born on December 17, 1912 in Clarkston, WA. to Herbert & Elsie DeWitt Horton.
She died at her home in Turner, OR. on February 12, 2008 at the age of 95.
Zelma attended elementary schools in Gregory S.Dakota and graduated from Winden, Nebraska High School.
She moved to St. Helens in the mid 1940's, living here until she moved to Turner, OR. in 1988.
Zelma was editor for the Sentinal Mist Newspaper from 1953-1967. After retirement she had an alterations shop called Zelma's workshop.
She was a member of First Christian Church, where she was active and helped out with the childrens church and preschool.
Zelma enjoyed oil painting, crafts and was a very good seamstress.
Survivors include: Brother: Wallace Horton of Heath, Ohio and many nieces & nephews.
Private vault interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose, Oregon.
