Alvin “Al” Sinner
July 26, 1928 – November 3, 2017
Alvin H. Sinner of St. Helens passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2017 at the age of 89. He was born July 26, 1928 in Portland, Oregon to Henry and Lydia (Metzler) Sinner.
He grew up and attended school in the Portland area graduating from Grant High School in 1946, he then attended the University of Portland and received a Bachelor’s Degree in 1950.
Alvin met the love of his life, Audrey, they were married on March 31, 1956 at the First Congregational Church in downtown Portland. They enjoyed 61 years of marital bliss.
Alvin was an entrepreneur who founded Autobody Warehouse where he served as President most of his working career. He enjoyed square dancing, camping and visiting with his family and friends. He was a member of the Elks for 39 years. Al and Audrey were also members of Plymouth Presbyterian Church in St. Helens, Oregon.
Alvin is survived by his wife Audrey and his five sons; Steve, Gregg, Richard, Mike and Curt (their families) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Plymouth Presbyterian Church, 2615 Sykes Rd, St. Helens, OR 97051 on November 25, 2017 at 11:00 am.
