This year I am following in Carolyn's footsteps as the president of Oregon Women's Golf Association from Portland Golf Club. She served as President in 2004. Some of my and my children's very best memories are of spending a week every summer at Cannon Beach in cousin Carolyn's & Al's house. Sometimes we would have lunch with them as they were exiting the house after their week of playing in the Gearhart Golf Tourney. Carolyn was always gracious, soft-spoken and very humble about her beautiful handicrafts. Her outstanding sewing & stitchery skills impressed us greatly.
