i know that its been 7 years since shes left but i was only 9 at the time, but now im 14 and i miss you so much Crazy Granny... the day daddy told me that you left i cried for days upon days... i know youre here watching over me Bray and Colt. and Uncle Aaron and daddy.. i just miss you so much, and i think that you and Amelia would have gotten a long great.. she was born a yr after you left and she definatly has pieces of you in her and so will i... i also have a Care Bare of yours that i hold and love when i miss you... i miss and love you bunches Crazy Granny..

I am so saddened to read the news about Debbie's passing, I had no idea she was ill. I have long been out of touch with friends in Scappoose since moving to Hawaii. Deb, I haven't stopped crying since I heard the news. We've been like sisters for nearly 36 years. What am I going to do without you in my life?? I can not believe you are gone. You will live forever in my heart, and I know in the hearts of your families. I've known Debbie for many years and even though we had never met...I felt as close to her as I did to anyone. I looked forward to her LONG letters and hearing about her family as they grew up. She loved her family so much! I can't imagine never having another letter from Debbie but I know someday I'll get the chance to meet her. I'm sure that Deb and her Mom are up there having a wonderful reunion...

Having grown up with Debbie and calling Bob and Phyllis my second mom and dad, brings a smile to my face even now. Everytime I was in Scappoose I would stop by Fred Meyer to see if she was there because I knew that it would be like we had just seen each other the day before. I always think fondly of her and her family and know that someday we will all be together again. Such a shame. My condolences go out to the whole family. I never really knew Debbie, but since the day we moved here in '93, she has been a fixture for us. First at P&G's and then at Freddy's. Debbie and I were friends thru the mail for ove 20 years. There was always a special joy at seeing a letter from her. She helped me thru some diificult times, including two bouts of breast cancer. She was so very proud of her grandchildren and children. Nothing will ever replace the space in my heart where she resides. I think we were as close as anyone could be, almost like sisters. We could tell each other everything.
She will be very missed by this person in Colorado. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family and friends.
