Pappy - We miss you so much. I see you in everything around me. I always knew you were a special person that made this world a better place for having been in it. I always felt blessed to have been given such an amazing father and mother and extended family. But since you've been gone I continue to hear from people all round the community that reflect on special ways you impacted the lives of others - Neightbors, co-workers, students, and the list goes on.
Thank you for all you have given us.
I hope I can live my life in a way that would make you proud. Jalal misses you too, you were a father to him as well. He fondly plays your music and wears your hats. He is taking care of me. Joseph and Alex are growing into amazing young people and I know you have inspired them and set an example for them. They too want to make this world a better place through medicine and journalism and your example and love I know guides them.
