Douglas Allen Hudson's Obituary
Douglas A. Hudson was born on April 25, 1947 in Gaston, Oregon to Raymond & Frances (Cason) Hudson.
He died at his home in St. Helens on February 6, 2013 at the age of 65.
They moved to Scappoose in 1952 and was a ward of the state at the age of 18 living in Salem, Portland, Forest Grove, and to St. Helens when the first home was opened.
His enjoyments included the group home activities, Special Olympics and the medals. He also enjoyed bowling, track, and basketball. Douglas also enjoyed watching baseball and football. He never forgot names and enjoyed watching cows and all animals.
Survivors include: Siblings: Dorothy Thomson (Ron); Jerry Hudson (Fran) both of Spokane, WA.; Carole Barr of Dundee, OR.; Richard Hudson (Wanda) of Scappoose, OR.; 16 nieces & nephews; numerous great nieces & nephews, numerous great-great nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond-’06, Frances-’90; brother: Jim Hudson-’96; brother-in-law: Maynard Barr-'07; and nephews: Scott Barr-’83, Elijah Rao-’09.
Celebration of Life: Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home.
Private Interment: Bethany Memorial Cemetery-Warren
