Doug, Mr. Stewart, was my Biology teacher at SHSHS in probably 1963/64. It might have been his first year of teaching. He was good, and fair, and ever so handsome. All of us girls had crushes on him. When I left St. Helens after college in 1971, we touched base a couple of times before I went to Australia. He wished me well, as a great teacher would. My family moved to NH in the early1980's, but most times I went back to St. Helens, I would have a couple of words...probably at the Elks, with he and Burt Burr! His career and accomplishment to the school system of St. Helens speak for themselves.
He will be missed!

Doug was a very neat guy, our Son Inlaw, he and Fran came to Woodie and my home in Wickenburg, Az every Christmas Season , when they were both working, It just mad our Christmas we could not have want more, and we looked forward to our Christmas together, In the summer Fran and Doug would come up to Nyssa, for a few weeks, and we would find time from Farming to go fishing, and enjoying being together as family,
When I (Teena) fell and broke my ankle , and stayed at there home in Chandler for a day or two, he made that best omelet I have every eaten, Doug we will miss you a lot,

Ron and I are saddened by Doug's passing. We met Doug in Arizona at Dobson Ranch. We shared many a pool time of laughs and as many beverages. Always, always full of laughter and we looked forward to vacation to meet up again. Fran, he spoke of how he couldn't wait for you to retire, but in the meantime you had to keep working to keep him in the lifestyle he was accustomed to. Condolences to your family Fran.
