Flora (Edith) Humble Parsons was born on December 5, 1932 to John and Edith Humble in Victor, Idaho. She passed away peacefully in Portland, Oregon on October 9, 2018. She lived most of her life in St Helen's and worked at the St. Read Obituary
Flora was one of my best friends in St. Helens. I moved away in 2008 but thought of her often. She was a huge inspiration to me of one who persevered through all kinds of trials.
I met Flora when I moved across the street and she and I became fast friends. Her bright smile, love of Bible Studies and God and generous heart endeared her and we spent the next 13 years canning together, taking "trips" to wherever I'd been and sharing stories of country life and travel. She loved my backyard roses and sitting on the front porch visiting as I did plastic canvas crafts while my cat wove around our ankles. When I moved back East she asked me to continue to send her videos and photos of places and events I'd attended and I was happy to comply. Her ready laugh, courageous spirit as we did PT together and the way she would tip her head with a chuckle teasing the corners of her eyes will stay with me and the footprints of love she left in my heart will make another link in her living legacy of love chain.
