Flora Humble Parsons' Obituary
Flora (Edith) Humble Parsons was born on December 5, 1932 to John and Edith Humble in Victor, Idaho. She passed away peacefully in Portland, Oregon on October 9, 2018.
She lived most of her life in St Helen's and worked at the St. Helens Hospital. Flora was an active church member of the St Helen’s ward of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed hobbies such as sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading, fishing, cooking, baking and enjoyed dancing. She enjoyed gardening and loved to grow African Violets and geraniums. Most of all Flora loved her husband Norman, her children and great grandchildren. Flora lived in St. Helens with her husband until August of 2015 when her health declined. She then moved into the Thanksgiving house, which was one block away from Norman, so he could come visit her.
Flora is survived by Norman, her husband of 48 years, Her sister Nola Jensen, her Brother Val Humble and his wife Cathy, brother Nolan Humble, her son Michael Chaffin and his wife Lynn, daughter Nancy Singleton and her husband Warren, stepdaughters Mary Michael Emme and her husband Frank and Penny Gaddis and her husband Donn, stepsons Bob Emme, Jim Emme and his wife Rebecca and John Parsons and his wife Patty. Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Flora was predeceased by her father and mother John and Edith Humble, siblings Nile, John, Larry, Cloic (Jay) and Charles Humble and two children, LeRoy and Edith Chaffin.
There will be a funeral service for Flora at Columbia Funeral Home on Monday October 15, 2018 at 2:30pm with a committal service to follow at Columbia Memorial Gardens.
