Forrest Owen Viles' Obituary
Forrest Owen Viles was born on February 5, 1918 in Parma, Idaho to Cecil & Minnie Plager Viles.
He died at a Portland hospital on November 23, 2011 at the age of 93.
Forrest moved to Ontario, Oregon where he was educated to the 8th grade, then went to work to help support the family. He was in the Army during WWII.
He was married to Alice A. Stevens on May 21, 1954 in Stevenson, WA., she preceded him in death in 2006.
They moved to Scappoose in 1961 from Portland and have lived here since.
Forrest was a member of the Scappoose VFW Post #4362, he enjoyed fishing, farming and gardening.
Survivors include: 5 Children: Rick, Brian Garry Viles all of Scappoose; Cheryl Loupe of Columbia City; Diane Chenier of UT.; 3 Brothers: Kenneth Viles of La Center, WA.; Cecil Viles of Arizona; Larry Viles of CA.; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter, Anita and a son, Craig.
