Hello to Helen's family, I was fortunate to see and speak with Helen at St. Wenceslaus's 100 yr. anniversary. I'm sorry for your loss and I know you will miss her dearly. In rememberance.....she made the best caramel apples on the planet, and she was one of the lovely ladies who taught me to make Kolache. Bless you Helen....and my prayers are with her family.##imported-begin##Loretta Burg-Sampson##imported-end##
Helen taught me how to bake Kolaches a long time ago with Mrs. Lomnicky and Mrs. Mares in the basement kitchen of the Catholic Church. Hers were perfectly formed with just the right vented slits on top. And they were delicious. I baked with her recipe and methods, Kolaches overseas and many places across the United States. Loved her and her family. A great loving woman. All our prayers to the Barta family.

I was sorry to hear of Helen's passing. As she was a good woman of God, we know she is with the Lord. To her many offspring- the Barta's have always been special to the Burg family and just want you all to know you are in our thoughts and prayers.##imported-begin##Ramona Burg Stafford##imported-end##
Dear Janice, Carol and siblings,
My condolences to you at the loss of your Mother. No matter how old our parents get, there is always a hole in our heart when they are no longer with us to share in our lives. You are in my prayers.
Sincerely, Karen Meyer##imported-begin##Karen Meyer##imported-end##
Sincere condolences to the family. I did not know Ms. Barta, only her daughters Mary and Janice. And, judging by the way she raised them she must have been a wonderful, gracious lady who will me missed by her wonderful family.##imported-begin##Margaret Dutton##imported-end##
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We shared many good times working on the church dinners, etc. Always a joy to be around Helen. We did get a lot of apples from the Bartas orchard. She was a hard worker.##imported-begin##John & Kay Baricevic##imported-end##
Dear Jan and siblings: I was teaching with Jan at St. Peter's in Portland when our "habits" changed. Your mother opened her home to me and my mother so we could sew up a storm and convert our black habits to suits. She was so welcoming and always so friendly. What a wonderful lady! My prayers for all of you as I went through this same loss 2 years ago. God bless.##imported-begin##Fran Maddox##imported-end##
