Loraine B. Rae's Obituary
Loraine Bennett Rae was born on April 6, 1930 in Jonesborough, Tennessee, the only child of Charles Marion & Lustre Tranum Bennett. She died at a Portland hospital on July 4, 2011 at the age of 81.
Loraine attended and graduated from Georgia State University with a Doctorate in Finance Administration. She taught for 33 years at the public schools and Middle Tennessee State University.
She moved to Portland from Tennessee in 2003.
Her enjoyments included Bridge & Genealogy. She wanted to travel all seven continents and did so after retirement-was in Berlin when the wall came down.
Survivors include: Son & his Wife: Charles & Michele Rae; 2 grandsons: Andrew & Kienan Rae all of Columbia City, OR.
Private family service & interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose, OR.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbia Co. Humane Society.
