Mardell Joy Rhoadarmer passed away on December 15, 2024 in Portland, Oregon. She was 74. Mardell was born November 13, 1950 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada to Henry and Ann Brandt. She graduated from Wetaskiwin High School and Van Read Obituary
Mardell was precious. I was blessed by her smile and encouraging words on many occasions. I know she was a dedicated mom and friend to many people. But when I think of her, it was her faith in Jesus that stood out. She dedicated her life to Him and represented Him so well. Her smile would light up a room and her joy was beautiful. She will be greatly missed. Blessings to her family and co-workers.
I am so grateful to have spent time and had several sweet and heart felt conversations w Mardell during WBCs mission trip to Cabo, Mexico a few years ago. What I remember most from those conversations was her love for her family and her deep faith. Once she and I were asked to help out by reading a children’s book in Spanish to the children at the health clinic in Cabo. Neither one of us spoke much Spanish but Somehow we muddled through and laughed about it afterwards.
Mardell’s gentleness, patience, humility and sincere concern for others are qualities that seemed so evident both on that trip and here at home. She is a beautiful soul and she will be sorely missed.

Mardell was one of the kindest, gentlest persons I've ever known. She had a beautiful love of the Lord and served Him well all her life. Mardell was one of the first people to volunteer for our church's Laundry with Love ministry and I have many sweet memories of her faithful service with her there. I loved her dearly as a sister in Christ and as a friend. She is greatly missed.
I worked with Mardell for many years at CCMH, she was always so helpful and kind. She will be missed. My condolences to her family. RIP my friend.
She was always the sweetest and most loving woman. I worked with her for a short time, but thought of her often. Rest in sweet peace with our lord 🙏 You will be sorely missed
I worked along side Mardell during my time working at Riverside. We shared an office there and had many laughs. Several times during the day we'd look at each other and say "Is it break time yet?" Her sweet, calm demeanor is what I remember the most. Rest easy in Heaven Mardell.
