When I first met Marlys she was so warm and kind. I am her dear friend, Marlene Thomas Rhine's daughter. I came at a time when Marlene was very young, she named me Diana Lee Thomas, and I was placed for adoption at Albertina Kerr in September 1951. Marlys welcomed me and made me feel a part of the family. She was close with my aunt's, Mildred and Betty, and my aunt and uncle Sylvia and Bob, such wonderful family that I am blessed to know too. I will see you again dear Marlys.

Growing up showing horses, I always remembered Maryls always running around the stables and always there supporting Shelly and Sandi during the County fair and other events. Later on I worked a short while with Maryls at Walmart. She was a wonderful lady, so kind. I will miss her very much. My thoughts to Skip, SHelly and Sandi. Juli Christiansen

I only had two female cousins, Maryls German and Ardie Mares and they both have gone ahead to heaven. Some day I will be both of them again. I have good memories of coming to visit all the family in Warren as children. Melba Martin
