Maxine and I worked at JC Penney's when I was just a kid - maybe 16... and she helped me so much. Whatever Mr. Grady said we made it happen! She was a wonderful woman.##imported-begin##Diane Dillard##imported-end##

Dave and family, Our condolences to you and your family. We will cherish the wonderful memories of the years we have known your Mom. We spent many special times with your Mom & Dad. They were both very caring, sharing and loving people.##imported-begin##Judy & Jay Lugar##imported-end##
I visited my sister a week before she went home to be with the Lord. I was so pleased to see how nice she looked that day with her new permanent, new glasses and a real cute outfit. Spring Meadow had a Sing-a-Long that afternoon so my friend and I took her to join the others. She loved music and joined in singing every song, keeping time with the music by clapping her hands. My friend and I often sang with her in her room on our visits and she loved every minute. That day will be a lasting memory for me. I will miss those fun times we had together.

David...you were lucky to have had Maxine for your mother and she was blessed to have you for her son. You took care of her in such a gentle and caring way. I am so sorry for our loss. Cousin Nancy##imported-begin##Nancy##imported-end##
Dave, My sincere sympathy on the loss of your mother. I wasn't sure how we compared in age, but we weren't far apart -- I beat her by a few years. Lillian##imported-begin##Lillian Mickelson##imported-end##

Dave,
I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I wish I was in Oregon to attend the vewing because I would love to see her one last time. I am sad thinking about her. I will always be able to see her there at Spring Meadows wearing her red and gray sweather, carrying her purse. She asked me dozens of times where her beloved husband was. She so longed to go be with him in Heaven. Now she is there and very happy.
You and I are both very fortunate to have had the parents that we did. They lived long, happy lives together in St. Helens and enjoyed each other in church activities for years.
Keep the wonderful memories alive of your dear, sweet mother!
Ah, the end of an era........
We are getting old Dave!!
Love,
