Patrick D. Smith's Obituary
Patrick D. Smith was born on November 19, 1940 in Columbus, Nebraska to Elwood & Mattie Mae Snell Smith.
He died at a Portland hospital on June 15, 2009 at the age of 68.
He moved to Portland in the St. Johns area at a young age, graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1959.
He married Valee Pence in Portland on September 12, 1959, She preceded him in death on September 28, 1999.
He worked at Blitz Weidnard Brewery for 30 years, retiring in 1993.
He was baptized in the Lutheran denomination and was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodges.
His interests included fishing, hunting, the outdoors and sports. He was a family man enjoying going to the grandkids ballgames.
Survivors include: Signifigant Other: Ione Jones of Scappoose; Children: Tracie Smith Jeff of St. Helens; Patrick Smith, Jr. Debbie of Sun River, OR.; Danny Smith of St. Helens; Curtis Smith of Portland; Siblings: Jack Smith of Portland; Jim Smith of Warrenton, OR.; Coreine Grieves of Portland; 3 grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 2:00 PM at St. Helens Elks Lodge.
Private interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery-Scappoose, OR.
