Philip Francis Sperr's Obituary
Philip Sperr passed away peacefully at his Sauvie Island farm outside of Portland, Oregon on May 18, 2020. Phil was pre-deceased by his parents, German and Anna Sperr, and sister Rita Weiss. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret [Duncan] Sperr, his brother Andrew and sister Anna Krenzer, sons Stephen, Matthew, and Michael and daughter Julie. He leaves behind seven grandchildren. Born June 19, 1941 in Rochester, New York, he attended Edison Tech and subsequently graduated from RIT. Phil then worked for Eastman Kodak’s photofinishing division for over 25 years and ended his career at NEC America in Hillsboro, Oregon. After retiring he volunteered at Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and became involved in training and judging hunting trial dogs. Phil spent many days afield in the fall and winter duck hunting and tending to the family Christmas tree farm. A private funeral mass at St. Michael the Archangel Parish and burial services will be held for immediate family only. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity.
