Ron passed unexpectedly of a heart attack. He recently retired as chief of Police from Veterans Medical Center, Portland, Oregon. He was a major player in the forming a Bee Keepers Group in St. Helens. He loved life and his family and friends.
Ron is preceded in death by his identical twin brother, Donald Gene McLaughlin; father, Bud James McLaughlin; Mother, Florence Viola Maxine (Gwin) McLaughlin; Father-in-law, Carrol Allison Bryant; Mother-in-law, Georgie Nadine (Donnelly) Bryant.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Lynn (Bryant) McLaughlin of St. Helens, OR; his sons and daughters, Steven James McLaughlin (wife Sahron) of Phoenix, AZ; Kurtis Allen McLaughlin of Portland, OR; Angela Marie Brown (husband Travis) of Grants Pass, OR; grandchildren, Mikala, Torin, Kiernan and Matthias (Tais) soldier in US Army of Virginia) McLaughlins(s) of Phoenix, AZ; Izabella and Wyatt McLaughlin of Scappoose, OR; Hadley and Sofie McLaughlin of Beaverton, OR; MaryJane Plummer of St. Helens, OR; Kloea Brown of Grants Pass, OR; Siblings (5 sisters) Marilyn Davenport of Eugene, OR; Shirley Fadley of Vacaville, CA; Barbara Jones of Sisters, OR; Sharon Meinberg (husband Dennis) of Yuba City, CA; Debbie Doby (husband Craig) of Klamath Falls, OR; his sisters-in law, Gloria (Bryant) Aldinger (husband Ruben) of Klamath Falls, OR; brother-in-law Carrol Bryant Jr. (wife Linda) of Sacramento, CA; brother-in-law Donald Bryant (Wife Susan) of Klamath Falls, OR; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM, at Sanctuary Church, 3101 SE Orient Drive, Gresham, OR, 97080. Donations can be made to Sanctuary Church.
