I will always remember the fun and laughter Sharon and I had making candy in those little molds and especially those delicious caramels. A few days after I met her at work, she was insisting I take a couple of her newly made sundresses on a cruise my husband and I were taking. I knew then what a special person she was and that we would be good friends forever. She amazed me making those beautiful quilts and canning all those vegetables and putting in the freezer. When we were at Duke Hospital where my husband got lung transplants, she was in the area on business at Thanksgiving. She volunteered to make Thanksgiving dinner for us . There were 12 friends and family for lunch. She made enough food to feed 30 people and it was delicious. She was a true friend and I loved her so. I can’t imagine life without her. I am thankful she is no longer in pain.
