A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 7, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Fredric Catholic Church in St. Helens, Oregon, for Verne Kenneth Evans. Surrounded by his family, Verne passed away from kidney cancer at his home on F Read Obituary

Vern will always remain a hero to me. he was always there when you needed a helping hand with repairs on ANYTHING.
He was "tough" as plywood on edge. He showed me what it meant to be a great husband & father.
Lastly, Vern was a dedicated christian, and loved Jesus as a brother. I am proud to have known and loved him.
Rest in peace my brother.

Verne and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Verne passing away. He was such a nice man and I will never forget what a gentleman he was, while I worked with him at Multnomah plywood, also will never forget his help when I needed it and he went the second mile without expecting a dime back. He is a man of honor indeed, in a world where they are so scarce.
God is good, hang in there and we shall all be in heaven someday. Have faith in God, family!! Stay strong for the time is at hand. hugs
